Caroline Winschel has been singing in choirs and steering small non-profits since fifth grade. As a founding Chestnut, she is delighted to have had so many opportunities in this ensemble to merge those passions.
By day, Caroline is Director of Development & Communications for Bartram’s Garden, a 50-acre public park and National Historic Landmark on the banks of the Tidal Schuylkill River in Southwest Philadelphia. A graduate of Smith College and the University of Pennsylvania, she is an active volunteer and elected leader in regional arts and community organizations, in addition to co-founding Tower of Song, an occasional summertime immersion in music for treble choir.
She lives in West Philly with her husband and personal chef, Jordan (yep, they met through this ensemble), and their daughter. She bikes a lot, reads even more, and wields punctuation prodigiously.
