Special Announcement!

Our May 3 concert, In the House of Tomorrow, will be a benefit concert!

This program is all about the journey of emerging from childhood and getting to define who we are. For many children of marginalized identities, that path is now paved with growing obstacles.

We believe firmly that all children and young people should be cherished and honored as they build their own tomorrows. We are proud to announce that every dollar received at our May 3 concert will be donated to two extraordinary Philadelphia organizations working to uplift young people: The Attic Youth Center and Juntos.

Founded in 1993, the Attic Youth Center is Philadelphia’s only community center dedicated to serving LGBTQ youth and allies. Their nationally recognized, multi-service programming creates opportunities for LGBTQ youth to develop into healthy, independent, civic-minded adults within a safe and supportive community and promotes the acceptance of LGBTQ youth in society.

Juntos is a community-led, Latine, immigrant organization based in South Philadelphia fighting for the human rights of workers, parents, youth, and immigrants. Their Sanctuary Schools initiative envisions schools as a place of safety, nurturing, and caring for all youth and their families.

We are honored to partner with Juntos and the Attic Youth Center, and we hope you will join us in supporting their work to support all Philadelphia’s children and youth. If you can’t make it on May 3, give below. All donations we receive between now and then will be passed along to these organizations.

Donate at the level that feels meaningful to you. Remember, every dollar received between now and our May 3, 2025 concert will be passed along to the Attic Youth Center and Juntos.

Thank you for supporting our 15th anniversary season!

Chestnut Street Singers relies on individual donors to achieve our mission of offering ticketless concerts that are accessible to a broad community.
Your generosity this season is what has allowed us to pass along every dollar received in support of our upcoming concert, In the House of Tomorrow.
With your gifts, you offer us the assurance and stability to build and plan on a year-long scale, making our organization more attractive to potential grantors.

As our organization matures, so do its wants and needs. Our pursuit of additional revenue over the coming years will allow us to realize some of our bigger goals:

  • Commissioning new compositions for our chorus.

  • Coordinating collaborative concerts with like-minded ensembles.

  • Staging workshops for the development of our singers and conductors.

  • Pursuing special projects in educational outreach or musicological research
